Where can I get a good quality seals from, I don't want no cheap set for a few pounds that will then leak 500 miles later, I want some good quality seals even if they do cost a couple of quid more.

    It's for a 2.0L CJ engine.

    Thanks guys

  2. I get them from coolair... with type 4s you generally don't get cheap crank seals!! :)

  7. Can anyone recommend one for a 1600 type 1 engine. I think mine has packed up!

  8. Lovely job. Cheers.

Am I right in thinking that this can be done without removing the engine?

There isn't a pulley one, it's a slinger. Oops wrong thread!
No, you can do it engine in. :)

  12. Nah, just type 4s have the pulley seal!! Type 1s have a thread cut into the pulley so as the engine turns it feeds the oil back into it!! :)

Some type 1s do have a seal, but this is generally an aftermarket mod, and generally one you should know about (it's called a sand seal!!)
