Surely if you over tighten a flange it will warp - but only if the gasket face its tightened onto isn't flat, but even then won't it just warp to the same profile ?
Not all to plan. Wasted a load of time trying to fit crappy reproduction tinware before deciding to reuse the original stuff. Will have to strip it and get it smartened up at some point. Ended the day like this: You can see the need for a shiny exhaust
i would roll with the one fitted ,never got the point of nice exhausts.. When I worked at motorsave (exhaust, clutch and tyre place) we just gunked badly shaped flanges ,not right, but time was money..
the dam exhaust is now rattling like something has broken off inside , i'm really fed up with this exhaust for what it has cost me , i think a cheap Empi one would of lasted longer and given me less problems although it's a couple of year old i bet it's done less than 5000 miles @Dan@vintagespeed @Alex VW Heritage
i'm hoping one of the above might be able to help the vintagespeed exhaust was bought from VW hertage so hoping one of the above can sort something out for me as i said before although it is a couple of years old it's done hardly any millage and is looking as good as new on the outside
someone has to cut the end off ??? if all else fails send it to me i`ll cut the end off , post all the pictures ,fix it and send it back
after research i found the paypal recite and it was bought direct off vintagespeed in may 2013 so sorry to Vw Heritage and thankyou for your help i will now get in contact with @Dan@vintagespeed and see if he can help
Hi I've just seen this and had an email, You say you got it off eBay ? I do not have an eBay shop? If you got it from me then no problem it can be sorted, I've replaced 2 recently with a piece rattling inside, I showed this to the boss and he confirmed a piece left inWas at fault ,please email me to arrange replacement , sorry it's happened but it can be sorted. Thanks
Yes that's me, what confused me was you said EBay and I do not have parts on there. I have emailed you directly. Thanks Dan
