Filler panel between arch and deformation panel

Does the little filler panel (the one between the arch and deforemation panel) fold around the edge of the A pillar?
Does it weld over the front edge of the arch too?

I'm not buying the panel but making one myself and am unsure how its supposed to fit the the A pillar and arch.

 

Is that the one at the rear of the front arch bout an inch wide?

 

the panel is spot welded to the cab step on the lower edge of the panel with 3x visable spot welds then is folded around the lower a post and single sided spot welded from the inside the front edge on a early van 73 model year has a spot welded 90 degree flange to connect it to the deformation panel but on a 74on model the edge is joggled outwards and over laps the deformation panel and is visably spot welded the is also a small curved upper flange whicj is spot welded to the underneath of the front palen lower flange. hope this helps

 

Mine originall had the 90 degree flange but will now end up with just a joggled joint.
