I already help to fund another website via a regular monthly payment to Patreon. I'd be happy to support TLB too. Set it up, publish the details and I'm sure you'll have more, regular money than a Tory slush fund

I seem to have missed the point of this entirely.
We get money from smaller sponsors, @davidoft, @JamesLey @theBusmonkey etc and others. The money they pay would collectively pay to host the site, unless I've misunderstood this.
We also get a single donation from a main sponsor that pays the hosting fees.
So to my simple brain it seems the forum has the money to continue what we lack is a charitable donation.
Surely you pay the bills first and give to charity second?

Yep, got that. So use the smaller sponsor monies to run the site and the charity has to miss out, sorry. But if the forum folds and goes to Facebook the charity misses out anyway.

 

The other money doesn’t cover the costs. That is the issue that is being looked at. It needs better promotion and management.

 

Post number 32, it has to be close the caption on the picture says thanks to TLB for the donation "in the region of" £1000. Actually that says since 2020, so it could be £500 a year, who knows?

Well I’m sure that a solution will be found before April as it all seems in hand. Many offers of financial support and hands on deck.
