Anyone use Euro Car parts at all? It might be worth considering if you haven’t . I’ve never even given them a second thought , looking round for an 063 battery , I found that with a discount code they were even cheaper than Halfords trade price for the equivalent - I paid £38.99 with a 3 year warranty. I thought the website and order / pay set up worked very well too. just thought I’d share the love ...
Yes. They are very good. My Transit needed new pads all round. Ford wanted to charge me over 300 quid for the pleasure. I bought myself a calliper piston rewind tool for £25.00 and did it myself for £122.00 using quality pads.
I've used them loads for our other cars but always order online using the daily discount code or they will charge the full price if you just go in the shop - same goes for GSF. Some of their stuff is a bit rubbish quality wise, if there's a choice it's probably best avoiding the very cheapest option unless you're looking for a quick fix so you can sell a car with an MOT......
You always check their other website www.carparts4less.co.uk It is usually cheaper and I think you can collect the same from a Eurocarparts shop.
I've been on this morning looking for a Fuel Pump, their pump are EXPENSIVE!!! Even with the discount codes.
They can be ok with the discount, but as said, some of their cheap stuff is Marmitee. Lion batteries for example, are very hit and miss..
assume youre talking £1000 or so ? what engine and what makes them think its the pump? plenty of other faults that can cause low fuel pressure etc
Pump ordered for £580 plus a surcharge for exchange thanks to my neighbours son - guess where he works? Very apt for this thread. Camper is booked in the garage for Tuesday and they are going to come and pick it up. Getting there.....albeit quite a bit skinter.
does sound like pump issues, be sure they check the loom first as they can break down unlike genuine volkswagen
@davidoft don't suppose you have any 1.9TD heads? Guy up the road has an R reg T4 - reckons his valve seals are going as it smokes on start up. He's after a replacement head.
