engine rebuild or upgrade

Hello,

we are thinking about a new engine and would like to know if we would go for a Remtec or a Vege engine. And if we should stick with the 1.8 or upgrade to 2.0

We had some problems with the unit that was rebuilt last year at Banty's (the VWshop near Newcastle/Gateshead)
