Engine in but no fuel?! Help!

  2. Sorted the valve clearences and set them all at 0.15mm. Glad I did as most of them didn't have any gap at all! Also fitted the carb to inlet gasket.

    Last job is to get some 3.5mm vacuum hose to connect the cab outlet to the air filter.

    Took it for a quick spin and it feels better than before :) will take it on a longer drive on Sunday to see how it is feeling.

  3. Ithink I've spotted something not quite right.....I was thinking last night about the way my distributor is set up and it looks like the leads fire in the order 1234 whereas I know it should be 1432.

    I swapped the 2 and 4 leads on the dizzy cap and it wouldn't run at all. I checked my TDC at cylinder 1 both on the dizzy and pulley. The dizzy spins clockwise as it should.

    Does that make sense....I'm confusing myself!

    Maybe you are 180 degs out with the leads and not on the firing stroke.
