Just landed ourselves another neighbouring field as a freebee as the landowner supports Essex Air Ambulance so.....

Day carparking... other field....
Main field.... Show & Shine & Music & Loadsa stuff... AND TWICE AS MUCH CAMPING SPACE AS BEFORE>>> FILL YER BOOTS!!!!!

Oh.... and its gonna go a little bit like this

Imagine if you happened to go for a drive in your van friday night before that wedding and came to see all your friends in the show field and then got taken ill or your van wouldn't start.....

Can any of the locals or any one who has been before tell us if there is a drinking establishment near by.

Obviously we are going to be enjoying ourselves and taking full part in the entertainment at the event, but we are taking the dog with us who will need his exercise and we like to see the local area as well.

Thought i could kill two birds with one stone, take the dog for a walk and enjoy the local hostleries

I want to live in a world, a safe world, where chickens can cross the road and dads can dance without their motives being questioned.

Although the '72 Microbus isn't MOT'd yet (see below), so we're coming in our 'Late Bay Prototype'..

This is Scooters "new" bus that he got a few months back. The wheels look awesome. Can't wait to see them refurbed

Sounds like its gonna be a good show, so hoping to be there! 8)
If you ain't booked for the club stand in advance there won't be a spare space for you on that.

We also have a fixed number of general show & shine passes.... any remaining on the day will be given out by the show & shine judges at thier discretion to stuff they ahdn pick that they like.

If you ain't got camping, or a display pass prebooked or a club stand place prebooked, you're int he day carpark (which is a different field altogether)

I don't think a fiver day ticket and a free pass is much advance commitment to ask to eb given the special treatment really do you? Especially as the fiver is going straight to charity anyway

1) Why do you need a local pub selling run of the mill beer and cider when we ahve a beer tent selling decent real ales and west country proper ciders?

2) Why can you not walk your dog round the show field like everyone else does???

3) the local area is stansted airport, they won't let you take your dog in and unless you're a plane spotter its probabyl not very interesting

I know the event is going to be fantastic, just like last year and like i said we are going to take full opportunity of all of the entertainment that will be laid on.

Just like us humans not all dogs are the same and from past experience it is best that we tire our dog out somewhat before we take him around the field, he is a lively some say over friendly boxer dog. Usually he does not pull but with all the other dogs and people there we do not want him to upset anyone elses weekend with his friendly character.

Not all of my family appreciates all of the vans and cars, some can't think of anything worse than looking at the vans and cars and just enjoy the camping and chilling out and as we are in a toltal different area of our native land they enjoy walking around the local area.

All of the shows are a compromise i get to enjoy all the VWs and get tips for my work and Linda gets to camp and see the local area, plus we get to spend the weekend away as a family.

No offence but we are not all the same, i will pack my anorak and binos for the planes, if any one wants to join me they are welcome and the offer of a black coffee is still on.
