We have the diesel ones in our work vans and they are noisy , would keep me awake at night I am probably going to go for the Propex
didn't i read on the earlybay site they organised a group buy on propexes? im sure someone popped over on here from there to ask if anyone wanted "in".....maybe we could see if we can do a group buy like the firetec?
to be honest the zero interest jk thing is just a marketing ploy...it doesn't say you are guaranteed to get the 0% and anyway you can get 15 months 0% on some credit cards.......
Gotta say though by the time you add the postage its a whole £27 saving on the blue bird kit, i know £27 is £27 but is it really worth it?
They've got an online basket so i'd guess they do Credit Cards, I'm leaning more toward the propex over the webasto but mainly because of the price, it means i can get a new set of stock wheels and tyres and still have spent less.
I had one of the old propex models in my van. I sold it to Malc PT2. They are very good - van gets toasty hot in just a couple of minutes. Mine didn't have a thermostat, but they regulate the temp off a thermostat. Mine was tee'd off the gas bottle for my westy hob and sat under the side buddy seat (westy continental)
Re noise: an Ebers does make a bit of a racket when it's working at full speed. The more modern Ebers reduce the fan speed once they've hit the set heat. Real noise comes from the Ebers exhaust, but fitting an Ebers silencer cuts this right down.
Call the company direct and ask if they will do a discount on bulk orders and ask for a price per ten units My bus came with a riveara heater it sat flush in the floor next to the sliding door Its more a radiator than a fan heater so less to go wrong in my eyes and the fumes enter through twin exhausts under the van It kept our bus toasty warm when it was below freezing outside and makes no noise at all Ive welded up the floor where it was but im thinking of refitting it at a later date as theres no way i can afford a propex or erber
