Ebay Time Wasters

  1. I went with "Hi mate, how many balls do you have? The table shows a lot of balls but you dont mention it in your text."

  2. I've asked him...

"Hi, interested in your table, can you tell me though what would happen if after a safety shot the white ended up in the jaws of a pocket and a colour stopped in front of it in such a way that the next player has no way to hit a red on his next shot even by going off a cushion?
    Cheers
    Jason"

  7. Does this guy know there is a thing called punctuation? That sort of thing drives me nuts!!!

I've sent hims some questions and left out the punctuation.

"How big is 6ft in metres as I don't have an imperial tape measure

I also need to know about the packaging does the table come in a box and balls not can you provide a bag to put the balls in as they would roll around my car and also do you think this would fit into a corsa I can provide measurement in metres if this helps

Can you play other games other than snooker on this table as there seems like a lot of balls on the table and I'm not a snooker expert

Finally I don't know how to play snooker so does it come with insructions"

  11. I'm dealing with another model citizen myself. Sold him an item, sent by recorded, and they tried to deliver when he was out, left a card. He contacts me to tell me he's not had the item, I check on track and trace, and it shows they tried to deliver 2 days previously. I give him the tracking number, tell him they've tried to deliver, and instead of him looking for the card at his house and going and collecting the item, he's sat on his backside in the expectation that they're just going to randomly have another go at delivery (when everyone knows after reading the card that you have to rearrange this!)

So now the item is being returned to me because he couldn't be bothered to go and get it from the post office. Grrr. No doubt he'll want a refund or for me to send it again, but he's only getting it resent if he re-pays the postage.

  17. I've just sold an engine, sent the payment request etc the guy then asked why it was listed a spares or repair and wanted to know why before he paid, I told him the reason etc
Then I get an e-mail say he does not want it due to the why it was listed, I say the listing was very clear and also the payment time scale etc.
He then asks for me to cancel the sale so he does not have to pay, I say no as everything about the engine was in the listing...
Then he says he can pay and does want the engine but can only pay a deposit now and full payment will have to wait.... I ask when he says sometime after new year ?
Next he says he has to get a lone out to pay for the engine and that he will try to do this in the new year, I asked him why he bid if he did not even have the money, no responce ::)

Next I get a mail saying he will COLLECT it and pay cash sometime.. when I ask, he says not sure but it'll be soon.

I wonder why I sell on there sometimes.

  18. I think the reason is that when e bay first came about they we're quick to say how easy it was to buy and sell. And if there was a problem they had the power to make people pay/or supply the goods. This worked for awhile, but people now know that they (eBay) don't have that power(money). eBay is just a service to put buyers in contact with sellers and vice versa. I think now muppets just use it to get the buzz of bidding, knowing that if they win they can just turn around and say "don't want it now mate." and nothing will be done about it. This is because if eBay chased everyone who whelched on a deal they would have gone bust years ago.
    That's my opinion anyway.
