Twin fronts in good order are £1-200 more with headrests, walk through and non walk through vans are quite different where the seats mount, so fabrication is required to fit the twin, or a body cut

  3. I used a jag rear seat easy to fit and lovely and comfortable

  4. yes my van was made to have a bench seat in the front...hence the reason for my tiny walkthrough gap i've got a pic somewhere of what it looks like... ive just got 2 normal seats as i use my walkthrough a lot.... x

  6. see how tiny the gap is....

  7. quick question- how does the middle seat scenario affect gear changes? I've a bay rear seat in the front of mine but i've yet to get people in it- just wondering if i can use that as an excuse for groping a crotch or two :D

  8. I suppose it all depends on how smooth your gear change is, your middle passenger could get quite a shock

  9. lol....awesome, i had a double in my T4 and it was a pain in the ass, i cant imagine the T2 to be to good either but i wouldnt mind giving it a go.....love the jag seats outlaw.....defo room for thought :)

i'll keep my eyes out......maybe even modding a rear microbus seat might work?....hmmmmmmm

    cheers guys :)

One of the converters, Westy Devon ect did a bolt or clip in centre front seat, I have seen the old ones for sale, someone sells a repro one as well.

  12. I've got a jag rear seat that I'll be fitting in mine soon (I know I've been saying that for ages) but currently working out what it's going to take to get the front seat to move so I can get a spacesaver spare wheel underneath/behind it.

  13. A little thought why dont you fit the spare between the chassis rails on a wind down winch from another car like a renault

  14. Because (a) I can't: there's now a radiator there for the subaru engine in the back :) and (b) because mine is a non-walkthrough there is a space below the front seats for the spare and I'd like to use it.

I'm going to either have the back tilt forward so you can get the wheel out from behind it (being a space saver, it's a 155 wide tyre instead of the usual 185) or have the seat base tilt forward to get to the wheel underneath.

  15. My van will run without a spare i know its not ideal but it is my choice just want to see the patrol man face when he has to try and recover it !!!!

  16. When I was looking for a twin front seat a local expert told me you can fabricate one by using 2 single seats by cutting them and welding them together. But dont ask for instructions as I choose to just have 2 standard seats and a storage box in the middle as it sounded a bit to much like hard work.

  17. I know why you're doing this - in the whole time I've owned the bus (5 years) I've never needed to use the spare wheel, but I still wouldn't feel right running without one - especially abroad.
