Rabbit is easily digestable and the minced whole rabbit can be fed raw or, defrost the lump, mix with an egg to bind it, put it in a baking dish and bake in a medium oven for about 1/2 hr. When it's cooked we weigh it and bag it up into meal sized portions.

The miltivitamin is a Vetsyme one http://www.petsathome.com/shop/dog-conditioning-tablets-by-vetzyme-36677 and she will do anything for them!

We fed Mary on this diet for a year after a recommendation from the breeder, there are pros & cons to it. We now feed her dry food "Burns" and apart from drinking more water we have seen no change, must admit it is easier to go for a weekend away now.

  8. We feed ours dried food, he's not that keen - but he's fit and well on it and never been ill. Not bad considering he is 12 years old and we have had him for 7 of those. You need to remember that dogs by nature - are scavengers and eat whatever presents itself!!!

Our great danes eat nothign but dry food. We feed them a high protein complete dry greyhound food and they thrive on it.

They have the odd bone but they are happy with what they get. All of them are healthy too which is good.

  11. I think what pete meant was that dogs evolved to be scavengers, eating the scaps from their human companions.

Comercial dog food wasn't readily availble until after the second world war, dogs ate scraps.

  16. We feed our jack russell on "nature diet" food.
Was recommended to us .... Packaging says its chemical and gluten free .. and highly digestible.

Other stuff too .... carrots she loves, apples sometimes ..... She had some para last night too.

  17. We run out choc lab on a mix of wainwrights dry food and raw pork ribs,

some how the addition of pork ribs helped to calm our nutty monster down no end. And it does take a bit of time to chew and eat, rather than the 4 nano seconds that he takes to eat the dry stuff.
