do many of you still have the bell housing blank plug

Just noticed that the plastic plug is missing from my bell housing 'hole' so you can see the flywheel whizzing round.
Apart from the obvious small danger element (wouldn't want to catch my finger in there) is there any advantage to having one of these and do many buses still have them in (& can u still buy them?).

Leave it out it will allow the leaking oil from the flywheel oil seal to drip out
Just dont go wading through deep water with it missing
