They're only a subsidiary of the .de site, I believe. I've always dealt with Otto in the German office who owns it and speaks superb English. Give him a call I'm sure he'll help. Shipping will be £20ish as he won't use the post, only a courier, so you may as well top up your order. I organised group buys a couple of times that I used him so we all split the cost.

 

That's interesting, I've never had one. The previous owner filled the gap with black silicon sealant, but that went a long time ago.

 

is that Viton tho ? Doesn’t say and very cheap

bus-ok do list Great Britain as a country the ship to (weird, we’re actually uk but whatever..) but 24.90 shipping cost?!? Wtf. No thanks.

didn’t know mine was missing until I saw this thread but I guess it can’t be that important?

 

Try the local VW dealer, they might have them. VW Sydney do. The part number is 022119951.

Without it there is a hot air leak into the cooling fan, up to you to decide if it's important or not, VW thought it was, but what did they know.
