devon poptop roof cap

Has anyone purchased the devon roof cap from jk, the item is collect only which isn't that convenient when i stay in scotland! I asked for the size and weight of the roof cap so i could organise a courier, which they gave me but there saying that the cap weighs 56kg (8 stone), which i find hard to believe, they haven't actually weighed it, its what it say on there computer!!

 

is that the cap that just seats on top of the old one ....?

alex came with one on we would love to be able to fix the roof and get rid of it. Way to heavy for me i can't do the roof without another person around. hopefully maybe next year.

oconners want 3 k for a westy roof ,its only fiberglass...i can buy a kit car for less....loooool

i fitted one years ago. don't remember it being that heavy ... at least no more leaks in the roof now. just the windows.

 

I would say that is the shipping weight in the packing case that they no longer use...

roof cap shouldn't weigh more than 10kg

 

it is too heavy for me i am little though.

no we tried to and mechanic tried to and we both gave up i really want to get rid of it. next year is sort the roof out.

I'm curious what is the knack of putting the stronger springs in for the JK roof cap?
