Decent replacement for worn Bosch svda distributor

  1. Fixed!

Was reading a post on The Samba by a pro dissy refurbisher, and he uses a 10-ton press

  2. They usually move between 1&2 ton. Which would be well within the capacity of a good vice.

I have had the pins out of Bosch drive dogs with a hammer and a sawn off masonry nail...

I also re-bushed one as an experiment , i think the outer diameter is a standard size for Oilite bushes and the inside diameter has to be reamed out to 12.5mm. I think I used a twist drill running backwards to clearance the hole for the shaft.

In the end I bought a dirty and slightly bent Bosch distributor for £5 at Slough, straightened up the vacuum canister and cleaned it, fitted an accuspark module from my old distributor and its the best one I have had so far.
