@earlybaybob before messing about with the heater controllers, having seen your bus, is the issue possibly you don't have the fresh air box or vents on the front?

  3. Could well be the lack of air vents to the outside world

I have several holes made by rust that might help - do you want me to fetch some of my rust over - if you could shepard it in the right way you might get the correct hole in the right place....

  6. I have opening quarter lights but it was too cold yesterday. I was already numb with every window closed.

  7. I will pass on that one thanks.

I thought it was an echo.....

  11. Is there a car out there old or new that has a simple electric heating unit with a fan that could be transplanted in some way?

  12. Anything electric and heated is going to run your battery down in no time. As a start, good to get the original kit working!

  13. Put on extra layers and open the windows,

I have in the past driven my van in the snow with the openers cracked open a little, much safer to be able to see than feel your fingers :D

Proof, you can see the windows cracked open in this pic, one of the coldest journeys in my life, was on the way back from a mates wedding nr Gloucester had to stop and eat a Burger King half way along the M4 just to warm my hands on somthing not cos I was hungry o_O

  14. Heated front screen hooked up to leisure battery, split charger.

  15. Nothing sounds daft when it comes to fettling buses IMO...
some of the old classic cars used to have a heated 12v coiled wire in the de mist ducts....no different in principle to a 12v hairdryer coil.

trouble with 12v hair driers...they are weedy

  16. Glad it's not just me that's thinks things like this. The 12v hair driers are a bit weedy but I am thinking about how to improve on their design too. I wondered about the fans you can buy for cooling your PC and using a different heat source.

  17. Ive got one of those screen demisters that plug into a lighter socket, bit like a mini fan heater, never used it, yours if you want it, 99.9% sure i still have it

  18. 99.9% sure it's bobbins;)
