Doubt we'd get away with that nowadays lol
Hope you get something from the CCTV and catch the little @£*+'s! :(

  4. No, a stand alone LEA nursery school, with a higher than usual sen register because we get a lot of referals

We have an 'inkling'; it could quite possibly be someone with a problem living next to the school who dislikes the noise of the kids and the trees 'too near his boundary line' (they weren't). Plod are coming on Wednesday and have said that they will take away the cctv and talk to the kids. From the afternon's children's reception to the news they are ready to see the perpetrator in stocks. They want the 'bad man' to come and say sorry to the trees!

  6. They'll love that....
presuming they were saplings recently planted? Why not invite the person you have an 'inkling' about to come into school and have a chat over a brew, as to which plants/trees would be acceptable....i know this sound a bit idealistic, but you'd be surprised how effective this kind of strategy can be.
When I worked for an Ecological consultants, we had about two miles of 'newt fencing' destroyed by vandals....(that's a lot of fencing)....it was made from polythene, so was very easily torched.....went round to the local primary schools and high school, did a bit of PR and got the kids to help reinstate it....we knew which kids had destroyed it, but rather than do the Police thing, we got the school to 'choose' a group of volunteers to help....it was never vandalised again...

See if your school neighbour likes gardening....:)

  7. Me too - the only trouble is the afternoon is gone now! Just spent 2 hours (yes, 2 hours!) on the phone to Sage trying to get my computer payroll programme sorted  - the result, I can't now even open the programme!!! Need a real computer wiz-kid to help, think it's to do with parallel imports on a Mac .....
