The wire was for gas mate just no gas

 

So you're not even using flux cored gasless wire??
I'm not criticising just trying to understand where you're at 're welding, it's a fairly critical part and a shame if it's messy because you seem to have the skill but not the right equipment!
Should be straightforward to get a gas bottle and regulator , what mig is it?

 

He must be or the welds would look like spent match heads.

 

Yeah I have flux core wire and have other just no gas ect even have all the regulator just not sure what gas to use I'll get shown soon enough

 

It will have trouble sticking and will not hold after "shock" factor...

Hit it wif a hammer...

 

It's solid on max mate just messy I wack it after it stops glowing

 

How did you weld your camper

 

Payed mate to weld but I helped so watched

 

Are I see well your doing allright but I must admit that I prefer mid welding with gas as the gasless never looks good what ever you do but keep up the good work +smiley

 

I'll get it all out later what I got I got all the stuff and a big reel of gas wire in sure all valves ect @davidoft has been helping so I'll send him a few pics

 

I'm on the gas from now on I think Iv found a load of gas set up that came with the welder Just gotta get some gas really and I'm away

 

Small job done tonight but it's off the list rebuilt X1 caliper up new seals dust covers ect and a lick of black stove paint to finish just gotta clip the plates in that press on the pads

 

You will even find welding easier now with gas gas less should be banned

 

Why stove paint?
Good move on using gas

 

Heat ect even though they not gonna get that hot

 

The thing is you need to get the paint hot to cure it otherwise it will just flake off

 

Where did you get the calliper kits from?
