Set out this morning at 10ish to gets new grinder after looking at reviews I went for the Bosch 1 then got started on the other side of frame head !! Managed to get it pretty much spot on a after tracing over from other side it's pretty much spot on and considering Iv never done metal or welded before I'm well happy welds are getting neater and after made holes and painted no ones will no Allso Seam sealed and stone chiped other side and to be honest I'm well happy with my progress !! Cut short as Mrs Daisy suggested to take mini Daisy on a bike ride and ended up at the local but I'm over the moon I CAN do it floor pans in next sat
Temp fitted floor pan and it lines up perfect Have the frame head a clean off and a bit of black stone chip and of to the pub I went happy as Larry with a good week ends work //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160131/9e20f26c87b5274fd96dc26997c3675d.jpg[/IMG [IMG]//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160131/6804f3cbeff6d74f04cba21fbed36d29.jpg
Plenty of quick progress Looks like you might benefit from turning up the amps on your welder a touch.
Hats off Si!!! Looking great. I watched 'The Love Bug' with the kids the other day. Now want a beetle.
theres some cracking Cal look beetles on here: http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php?PHPSESSID=7cphvnhuf0d5buiffeit1k0hv6& I'm sorta liking the idea of one too; haven't got room though
its on max mate i think it's the splatter of the gas less mate its all glowing when i stop and smoking (note to self when wax oiling inside panels don't weld there its flammable)
I'm well into it now mate got some bits to do this week on the nights now ect like fitting beam building it up painting it all gear linkage rebuild callipers and steering box running brake lines I'm well on the way now iv sorted this frame head
