I'm surprised you didn't smooth the VW plinth off the front considering all the other frenching you have done.. or have you got another sneaky plan?

  10. To be honest i had planned to cut the button out and reverse it and put in a standard late bay badge but i forgot to do it and now i am reluctant to cut it all about again so I have another little trick I want to try so wait and see - but if that doesn't work then i will reverse the button nose next year

  11. Oh plop sorry dale thats just reminded me ive forgot to send you that hub cap
Ill try and get it in the post next week

Whats the maximum thickness of steel that you can swage dude

Ive a nifty custom idea for an accesory for my bus but i need to get swages in thick steel

  12. This is by far my favorite bus!!! carnt wait to see it in the flesh!!! :)

And then take the pig home and try and copy it all!!! :-[ :-[

  13. Hi the thickest I have done is 16swg you cant go mad with it as it will distort the machies are here if you want to borrow them not a problem I have 2 knife edge or the bead roller -
I need to clear that bench as it will soon be engine build time

  14. How many mm is 16 swg dude?

Im going to make a rear carrier for my bus to carry a spare wheel on one side and a steel jerry can on the other

The jerry can wont be for fuel though i want to modify it to make a bbq/firepit but keep the jerry can look

The thing is i dont think the jerry can steel will last long if used as a fire pit
So i was thinking of recreating one out of thicker steel

  15. 16swg is 1/16th inch way to heavy duty for what you are doing I would go for 20swg or 18swg easy to work with - Bbq metal is 20swg - if you have a drawing fire it over i will fab it for you

  16. Ill get some pics of the jerry can dude so you can see the type of pressings it has and ill draw up some sketches of my ideas

The thicker it is the more heat i can have in it and the longer it will last

    Cheers dude your a star

  17. Gladys has got a new pair of teeth - hand fabricated raised bead edge on the side and front - please note that they are not bolted on yet just laid in place hence why they are not straight
