Custom Resto 71 Dare to be Different

  3. Just wish i had forgotten to reverse the button nose on the front panel have to live without it now
     
  4. looks spot on mate , the engine lid im still in to minds about but the work you have done is ace keep the pics comeing

  8. Dale, my apologies, only just noticed your fantastic resto story. You are doing a great job mate, the van is looking completely individual, well done !

    Have you come to a halt Dale? Or are you saving something you're doing at the moment to show us when it's done? :)

No / yes - i dont have any heat in the workshop to paint and now the shell is painted its in the way I need to paint the doors then I can get on with the motor and engine bay detail work / oh and its doesnt help that i am skint at the mo - So the word is frustrated so much to do but i must paint those outstanding panels 1st- The roof is done ready to fit I have all the window rubbers just need to tint the windows etc etc etc - I could scream now it looks like my job is going down the pan to

    I'm also skint, so doing jobs on the bus that cost nowt. :(
    There's always the badge button? :) Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for that. It's good to have something +ve to do when the poo hits the fan (I find).
     
  13. I am still plugging away passenger door is now all painted polished and hung the front bumper is now all prepped ready for paint not sure what colour - templates made for custom overiders -
    Sorry that there hasnt been a lot of updates
     
  14. cant wait to see finished what you got in mind for overiders i got some custom bumperless overiders in the making at mo
     
  15. Traditional but with a subtle twist to them - i think i will on put them on the front only

Surprise a little more progress i gathered a little enthusiasm - Front bumper is painted Base White and fitted just need two new end joiners - Changed the indicators to white instead of Orange they look a lot better - All of the painted panels have all been colour sanded and polished - Rear lights are fitted - Frenched Aerial is fitted -
    Now Problems with the rear bumper irons - I have the Early style long style and i think i need crossover irons i think they are different ????
    Onward with the final prep on the tailgate -
    But happy bunny she is very shiny and she looks pleased with herself
