You will have to put a couple of lead screw jacks in it and tweak the shocks by winding the tops up and down with ratchet spanners sticking out the sides of the seats....no not really.. I did imagine the sides of the tubs actually being made from rubber bellows material and having the seats and tub tops go up as the ride went down and vice versa.. But that mutates into a wierd partial variable body lift after further thought experiments... The only thing I would say having once tweaked my back badly driving (a bit fast, a bit angry) along a really lumpy road when the stock seat bottomed out on the stock wheel arch with my harder lowered front end is make sure you dont build a seat that slams down when it bottoms out...
The air bags have arrived now should get 3/4 inch lift now not 2 “ before but the seats I’m just gonna drop the base down and the sliding rails outside the base rather that underneath like a seat body drop basically and allso have a crack a upholstery as not like I’ll be using it much at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have TT seats in beetle, did you get heater pads working. Ours is just on a 15a switch. How you controlling yours. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
Not looked at em yet mate got em if u got any pics or info for getting them working be greatly appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4 inch lift starts making a lot more sense for rolling in Europe - I remember reading an article in Hayburner where a group of VWs drove into Austria and the police turned one back , told them to put it on a trailer or have it impounded, as it had less than 4 inches/10cm ground clearance. As I said - watch out for smashing yourself on the tubs on bumps when the springs bottom out in the seats. It hurt. And I expect that you will need an MOT certificate for it after all that work, as it has probably achieved the necessary points of modification from stock.
From what my mot man was saying and few garages working near me it’s how u enter peerage the mods mate but will more than likely get it done just to get it up on a ramp check it all out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s back in bits front end making these struts fit I will get a video promise it’s all still in design stage these things take time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
..slammed and a bit of roof chop ...only took me 5 mins ... back to getting the engine back in now 'spose Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

If I remember brown were an end and black with yellow or white were other end of element bud. Yellow plugs airbags thou. Sorry best I can find. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
That’s a head start cheers gonna have a crack and upholstery this spring as looks like I’ll be no busy at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I suppose that people who need stair lifts etc will be avoiding having people in for a few months. Theres an easy way to find the airbag ones.. but not a useful way.. Maybe you should use the time, find another bus and fit it with 4x4 running gear, a massive raise and big tyres...
It's what I'm doing to my t25 doka, I'm turning it into a syncro, I wanna be Syncro friends with @Mattlad and @theBusmonkeys Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
