It is more important than that if you're restoring 72/3 bay. When ordering bits it is useful knowledge and can save you the frustration of getting a late bay part when it should have been a x over bit. This was how i found out and delved into it. Frustrated at ordering the wrong bit. I won't go into detail as I did a complete part differences thing on here somewhere..You would be amazed at the differences in 72 late and say a 75.
think i started a big debate ! lol very intresting to find out all the subtle changes they made through the years , iam still a novice , i agree, would be good to know the correct parts to order .
