You won't need any female connectors.

you use the black mandrel to make a single flare and then use the end of the screwed press tool to turn it to a double flare, the kits ususally do metric and imperial, mine does. i have a cheap one like the one on ebay and an expensive £150 sykes pickavant one and with a little practice good flares are possible with either, but much easier with the expensive one

  7. Just allow plenty of spare pipe for practice if you buy a cheap flaring tool...its true they do produce flares but not of the kind I would trust on a braking system. :))

  8. The kit I bought does these...

  10. Ill have to post up a pick of the kit i use

It was cheap as tips chiwanese stuff but its made the brake pipes for my bus out of copper no problem

I got a pipe cutter and a flaring tool and some unions and pipe cheaper by about £20 than buying a ready made brake kit without the tools

  13. thanks mate :) .....I'll take you up on that

I've still got the door glass to drop back to you, so I can do that at the same time

  14. I tried one of the cheap ones (not that exact one i'm sure) The pipe was harder than the black bits

The girlfriends dad then said do you want to borrow mine ::) He cam round with a proper old fashioned lump of steel with a movable arm type thing. It was spot on
