Coil for fuel injection bus

I've bought a Bosch blue coil, I'm not sure if its compatible with my 2.0L FI engine with the electronic ignition. Can someone tell me for sure if its ok or not I wouldn't want to damage my electronics. ???

 

i fitted one chris and mine is f.i 2 litre it works fine

 

Just measured the resistance of my coil & its 3.2 Ohms. ???

 

You mean your old coil was 3 ohms?

I would've expected the resistance to be the higher one, TBH (i.e. 3 ohms). 0.6 ohms is mighty low. Could be wrong, tho'

 

if I remember I'll dig out my old spare mk2 golf gti coil... I'll check the resistance on that, but I think that's what you want to use

 

Thanks for your help guys, I measured the resistance on the coil I have & its 1.2 Ohms, when you shake it I can hear the oil inside sloshing around. Its a bit dented & marked too.
