  1. I got the top redone, windows and all that, does anyone know how to clean up the inside of the roof, it seems like an awkward job.

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

some take it off and do it, seems extreme to me so i just put goggles on and did it with spray bleach and a cloth and it was ok all the mildew etc is gone now, i need a new canvas so when i do that i will remove the roof and do it again but more thoroughly.

  3. Thanks, I did this the wrong way round, but it is a mess , so bleach it is then.

  4. Reviving an old thread, has anybody got more to add? I've just started off rubbing mine with upholstery cleaner on a cloth. The black mould has diminished but so it seems has the flocking. I don't want to strip it bald so what's the best way?

  5. Apparently you have to be gentle or the flocking just strips off which then causes condensation to drip when you are camping. There was a good thread on the samba I seem to remember. I have to do mine and am going to use Milton 1/10 to 1/5 but with very little elbow grease.

  6. Oh yes I'll be dong it in situe, taking out bed matress and using lots of mop up stuff.

I was going to ask - earlier Westies don't have the flock stuff, I went with white vinegar - concern is that bleach would stain he canvas.

  8. I used 'our kids' carpet shampooing hoover type thing ....
    Worked a treat

    :hattip:

  9. My canvas isnt the greatest so I might look to clean that too! :) need to chek whether i can just give it a good rinse and then wack on some waterproofing from a camping shop.
