    Yo

I like my steelies. Dont get me wrong but i think that nice well fitted alloys make a bus look a million dollars. (+ £10 approx in Sterling)

I have been developing a bit of a fetish for a custom coloured teledial. (not sure of their offset.

What is the process to get these to fit? If using adapters, how does the offset affect things?

  2. You can get adaptors or if the PCD is very similar, then wobble bolts.

    I don't think I'd recommend either though.

The offset will change as the wheels will stick out that bit more owing to the adaptor.

Is changing hubs a huge deal of effort?

  4. Not sure on these buses

    Adaptors are fine.
I've run them for 10 years and they've been on the bus longer than that.

I was under the impression that the standard et for a bus was et39 and I look at aftermarket rims and they are all like et22. Obviously teledials vary but what is the true et for a standard bus wheel?

They are nice. My pal had some og on his 68.

    You’re correct.

We know the et (offset) on almost all aftermarket wheels is wrong, the suppliers know they are wrong but nobody does anything about it. We buy what is available and most people just buy what they consider looks good regardless of suitability (and fit adapters, wobble bolts and low profile or narrow car tyres).

  11. You can get 5x130 rear drums that are an easy swap for the rears (creative?). for the fronts i've seen several busses with 944 hubs. IIRC @Lime79 did this on his to run 16" fuchs..? That way you don't need adapters. @Paul Weeding runs teledials, really suit a bay IMO.

Yes you can run adapters too.. from an engineering perspective personally i don't like the idea of that (bolt your wheels to somethign that is in turn bolted to the hub..) but i know lots do and dont have problems with them . Good thing about teledials is there are several types available - IIRC there is something like a 52 offset that will work better with your adapters (ie add a 20mm adapter plate and you'd have effective et of 32 which should fit fine).

  12. I run custom hubs on the rear, so no adaptors.... But with the teles there is a spacer, so steel adaptors are perfectly acceptable...

My teles are up for grabs if you're looking for some.... They are 16x7s so a touch more price wise over the 15s

did they ever make 14" teles? i would buy a set right now if it weren't for the fact i have steels with brand new tyres on. no way would i recoup that cost by selling them

  15. i don't think they made teledials 14", just 15 and 16 i think?

  16. Yep, just 15s, and optional 16s for the 944 turbo
