Caravan club site at the weekend should I be concerned?

You don't have to be a member but they stiff you for a non-member fee on top of the already high fee.

When on a cycling holiday we stayed at one for a much needed break from the rain and cold and to have a shower. Warden was friendly and waived the non-member fee as we only had a small backpacker tent. Was still £25. Independent campsites had ranged from £8 to £16 up to then.

 

Pennant for every campsite you have visited must be displayed.
Awnings on the gravel not the grass.

Marker sign for your pitch not a pile of beer bottles when you take your camper out for the day and you are coming back, everybody else leaves a caravan or a camper van and takes either the tow car or the nissan micra off the tow bar if its a camper.

(Ps some is true some is from the letters page of the C&CC magazine... which I read in a kind of horror. It makes a vote for Brexit easier to understand)

Expect good facilities though.

One advantage of a CC site is that you don't have to pack an alarm clock. You're woken by the warden patrolling with a large German Shepherd, shouting "Aufwachen!"...

So far so good, actually a friendly camp site..with very good facilities...did get told yo move my awning a foot to one side after I'd just finished putting it up ...ooer missus. ..
