Before packing for a trip, there is usually all this stuff in there already: Tea (brown, peppermint, Lemon and ginger, chamomile) Filter Coffee Mixed herbs, soy sauce, Tom puree, black pepper Chilli crisps Beans Chickpeas Pasta Packet risotto Beer Fajita kit Olives Small carton uht milk (which never gets used) ...
No one packs biscuits?? Me... Margarita mix for the tequila in the fridge. Oranges, limes Tea, proper coffee Choccy biscuits, custard creams, posh stem ginger biscuits. Basically any biscuits you can cram in without them being crushed. Cheese biscuits. Posh cheesy oaty ones.
I always have custard creams, ginger bits and a selection of crackers for cheese. The crackers never make it as stock and have to be bought with the fresh stuff - they’re too nice. Condiments, herbs and spices have lived in the bus for years too.
I think I have everything mentioned above including several different types of naughty poodles (pot noodles) but I can’t believe that no one has Idahoan or Smash hidden in large quantities behind the seats or under the carpet . Oh and boxes of ice creams for on the journey, usually have to scoff all of them just in case they might melt . Accidentally bought a box of Toblerone ice creams once, was really really looking forward to scoffing a few of them on my way to wherever twas, but turned out as I’d ripped the box open on the M5 using my teeth, then ripped the packaging open also with what’s left of my teeth,as we was heading coastwards, turns out that the reason I couldn’t drag one out to peel the paper wrapping off was simply that they wasn’t Toblerone ice creams but a Toblerone ice cream cake which had to then be scoffed in its entirety as I’m driving down the M5 with ice cream and chocolate all over my face and down my T shirt and every where else it was possible to get bits of chocolate. The only thing I’ve remembered from that trip was someone running across to meet me on arrival and telling me to get the barby going (WM drum) and I mumbled something about I wasn’t that hungry Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, only in my little world
Tea bags, sugar, gin. Salt n Pepper. Baked beans, pasta, rice, veg oxo cubes, tinned toms, pesto, oil (rape seed not 3 in 1), tinned peas and sweetcorn. Tinned pineapple and mandarins. Pringles, Custard creams, Haribo. Tonic & lemons, beer, milk, butter, cheese, and veg gets added on the day. Along with anything else that takes my fancy and has an '0range Sticker of Happiness' on it down at the Co-op! Sounds like we're all set up for a camping trip. When are we going?
I had some paintwork fixed a few years back and the whole van went into an oven. I forgot I’d left some instant coffee in there and the whole lot popped open, spilled out and welded itself onto the floor. Took me months with a warm wet cloth to soak the encrusted mound off. I take everything out of my store cupboard when Margs is in the garage in case dreaded mice take a fancy to anything. That means, of course, it’s my duty to eat a LOT of biscuits.
I prefer to have my van clean, smelling lovely and empty prior to camping Just like my pants Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So!!! , Just for the less educated amongst us, how do you empty your pants before you go camping Ozziedog,,,,,,, or possibly, a tad tooooo much information
