Usually on a longish trip we stock up on basics. Oils, balsamic, fresh ginger, garlic, marsala, thyme, tea, coffee, honey, anchovies, capers, olives, aborio and basmati rice, straight to wok noodles and buy fresh from day to day. We like exploring the markets and farmers shops. We take three reserve meals just in case, these are normally tinned chicken curry, stewing steak with new and peas, and sausages with beans. They mostly come back with us unless we've been stranded on some quay somewhere, or blown the engine. Favourite tipple is a good rum. PS. Forgot about the couscous.
