Hi all. does anyone know where I can source a kit to put ferrules on the end of the accelerator cable? Tried Ebay, can only find cycling ones.
Yes for crimping on. Still struggling to find one. Basically, I want to make up the end of the cable into the barrel connector on my carb linkage. Just wanted to make it neat but it seems they are hard to get hold of.
i think ebay prob do them , i cant lay my hands on any as all my deep sea stuff is 80miles away at my mums place sorry .

If bike ones are good enough for anchoring brake cables, they should be good enough for a throttle cable. If anything they'll be under less load than they would be on a bike. I think what you're after though is a nipple rather than a ferrule, I keep a box of the ones below at my workshop. I use them on brakes and am yet to have any issues. Cost me about 50p each... If you want to do a really neat job you could always screw and solder.
It is an alladin's cave. I avoid going on the VWP site as I'd only end up buying more stuff. Excellent for "proper" cable.
