Cab doors

Anyone got a rough idea how much tatty cab doors off a late go for?
They will need re-skinning but the frames are in quite good nick.

 

I would of thought pennies mate. There are many many rotten ones about

 

What are the bottoms of the doors like?

 

might be worth rebuilding yourself if you`re handy enough, decent ones fetch good money

 

Doors are another thing I desperately need I am going to hang on till a show next year on the hope I can pick some up a bit cheaper

 

I bought two that needed skinning for a fiver each, he sold a few others the most was about a tenner

 

Bottoms are ok, unfortunately I don't have the skills to repair them, the cost to get them done would be the same as some imports so there's the dilemma

 

Dilemma? Look at what you end up with. If cost is equal I'd have the ones that haven't been restored without a thought.

I have the same choice/advice to give my customers so it's had some thought previously. It's the acid test for me.

Strange as I'd prefer to keep my doors and have them professionally restored.

Though near enough my metal work is all original, I seem to be stupidly attached to keeping as much of the original metal as I can.

 

i got £50 for the pair for my rotten doors on ebay
