Some updates. I go away with a friend to pick up his Renault 16 TX and come back to find Buttercup has a face Some work on the windscreen posts. 4 had been ordered to obtain the inner part and then the outer skin. Still a lot of work to do though.
Poor old patchwork bus - still, I know that she will look great in the end! The face is a big improvement.
Happy New Year everyone! Well, I got a pair of doors delivered just before Christmas from the lovely Gary at Cool Campers... and bought a near rear panel to fit jut under the engine bay lid. Looks like she is also having a repair panel fitted at the bottom of her sliding door too - oh, and a patch for under the accelerator. Will be popping by after the bank holidays to see how it is going. Gotta get this bus sorted!
Diddyman ask and you shall receive. Gary and Ray have been at it. Well Ray really who loves buses. So with no gibber jabber here is the thing we like best.....PHOTOS Windscreen post work continues and is now finished. One wheel arch now done. Digging around the rear valance opened up some more rot. Just Kampers came to the rescue with a good fitting rear valance. Some rear work. Sliding door and front doors are almost finished ready for painting. Next area is the O/S. l will keep you posted for Buttercupbus.
Awesome - thanks for posting that Birdy! With the baby nearly due, it is hard to get down the garage at the moment! Really pleased with the progress - and looks like a lot of work! But impatient for that gorgeous paint job! ;D
Paint going on next week. Woohoo! I am so excited. Have opted for a very pale yellow: bmc yl 12 (primrose) with white top. Kinda had to be yellow with the name Buttercup. I know that this is not a strict camper colour - but I needed to appeal to both my wedding and holiday hire customers and after getting their gfeedback, this looked like the best way to go!!!
good colour coice I was thinking of painting my MG primrose yellow ......but thats another resto in the waiting looking forward to the pics
OK, body work complete...Phew!... and here are some pictures of the lush paint job - sooooo pleased with how this has turned out! Buttercup is looking damn fine, and not even finished yet!
