  1. I've used a couple of the lower ones without any issues but yes they did have metal caps not plastic.

  2. That looks like a nice meaty solid filter! This post has at the very least prompted me to get a spare!

  3. I've got a spare! It's now going to live in my tool kit ;)

  4. I haven't got round to making up a tool kit/repairs box yet as we haven't driven her further than the MoT station.
Tight year financially but we may squeeze in a cheap camp next month if we are lucky!

The initial specialist it was trailered to after purchase :( , fitted a Ford Ka filter. It's big, metal and heavy and it works.

  6. After reading this I have now order a couple of these.... http://unipartautostore.com/fiat-brava-unipart-fuel-filter-in-line.html

Think all I need to do now is replace the tank and my fuel system is fully renewed from fuel neck to voltage stabiliser!

Thanks for posting @mcswiggs I had the same filter and a spare of te type that went wrong on you... so thank you. Hope the holiday carries on being mighty... all the best

Finally found a way to to up load the offending item!! See how the plastic cap on the end of the paper filter has sealed itself to the outer case... Nearly impossible to blow through it.

As for filter...after my woes with fuel and reading yours I decided weight and size does matter :-D
