has any one got a body cut to cover the 'flap' that has been cut into my bus to gain access to the fuel guage sender please. I was thinking a piece could be cut and then screwed down to make it look neat, but still able to remove for the future!

  2. That's what a PO in California has done on mine, made a very nice job of panel beating the flap to fit, mastic round the edges and self tapping screws hold in place. Suggest making a template from a piece of card and cutting some thin metal sheet to shape etc etc.

A cut will be better as it'll have the correct pressings in it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as it should fit flusher if that makes any sense?

I'm not sure if this photo helps? But basically looking for a cut that will overlap the hole that has been cut. A few self tappers to fix it down and it should be a tad tidier!

The two pics above should show rough size of cut needed, guessing 12" x 12" including a bit to fold over the front..
