Beetle as a daily driver?

My dad uses his beetle all year round.
Loves it. Just wraps up in the winter

Thanks for all your replies. I think I have convinced myself to go for it. Company car goes back at the end of the summer so I guess I'll be on the look out for a Beetle. So if anyone knows of anyone selling then let me know

my beetle has been my daily driver for 10+ years. yes, it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer but it makes m smile everyday

go for it. you can always sell it, as they won't depreciate like modern cars, and then get a eurobox with the proceeds.

 

My beetle isn't cold - the heating works a treat.???

 

I dont have a beetle but i have a spare space in my soul for one

I ran a beetle as a daily for years, I would sort out the de-misting issue, perhaps a heated screen.

 

ive had a daily driver beetle for over a year now! never a problem! its awesome! its up for sale too as i need a 5 door for all my work equipment. i drive it 45 each way to work every day and every where else! i love it!

Mrs L & S drove one for a number of years as a daily to and from work (25 miles each way) in summer and winter. Heating worked fine, misting was a problem untill the interior warmed up as was defrosting the screen in winter. Cheap insurance, no tax and reasonable mpg. She still misses it now.

Now the proud owner of a Beetle to get me to work and back

Only annoying thing is I have a broken foot so can't drive it for at least 4 weeks, grrrr!

 

You can take piccies of it with a broken foot though.

Just needs a new bottom end and I'll be rolling. Should have that done by the time my foot has healed

 

Very nice. Looks great with the 4.5 and 5.5" wide sprintstar wheels. 8)
