Sorry it's not about the bus, but I can't face joining another forum just for one question The battery in my 1972 1303 Super Beetle needs replacing as it isn't holding its charge. I've just had a look on JK and there seems to be loads of options with different amp hours... ...can someone point me in the right direction pretty please??
zoe i got my last one for one of my busses from here http://www.tayna.co.uk just check the measurements of your old battery first especially the height because you don’t want it shorting out on your back seat !!!!!!!!
you want an 063 battery... you'll be pushed to upgrade it as there's not much space to go bigger... you can only go wider, not taller, as that might lead to shorted out terminals if someone sits on the back seat... Sounds like battery to me if its not holding a charge. My bus starts just by jangling the keys at it since swapping my knackered battery out for a Bosch one.
