i used to be with LLoyds - had LOADS of issues with them - moved to Natwest - even worse ..... But I have been with Santander for 3 years now .... never a single issue and always very helpful when I have any queries ............... dont believe the hype!
I've been with Lloyds for about 18 years and thankfully no problems, however.... I do think that they are as bad as each other, you are either lucky and have good experiences or unlucky. You do hear about people having awful experiences so often that it surprises me that they don't try and act on it or at least makes things clearer for customers. One of the girls in my team at work has just had an awful experience with nationwide btw. Don't forget that a lot of the banks are owned by the same company now e.g. Halifax is now part of Lloyds etc and that several are now part government owned. You decide whether that's a good thing or not!
well for savings ,money in , but NO provision for standing orders/direct debit payments ive joined a bank of sorts , for people who usually have diff. opening an account wiv one of the majors , i supplied one official doc , they took my pic which is checked against me or anyone attempting to withdraw money, no overdraft facility >simples, will do me at present, i obtained one years worth of past bank statments yesterday and added up all ive paid to g3, ohmagod, i hope they can explain how/why they"ve purloined so much of my folding stuff ,i anticipate a long drawn out out "battle" re this situation. i am seriously digging my heals in.
