When we first moved in, the tiles in our downstairs bog were pink. With a maroon toilet bowl and sink. Pure 70s class
My dad is still living the dream with the same 60's yellow bathroom and pink upstairs bog that were in the house when he bought it. 50 years old and still looks like new.
We have driven to Swanage in the bus and are currently sitting in the sun drinking gin and having a barbie
Got to be done, mate, before my van rots away. Also want to fix the trannie's runny nose and grease my shuttlecocks. After that, I never want to see the underside of it ever again.
Good bowls match today out in the sunshine with a nice afternoon tea. Us oldies know how to have a good time. Tomorrow, off to the Laughton Country show in the van, to enjoy the steam engines etc. and taking the mgb on a charity run on Monday.
Make take T25 for a spin to the beach tomorrow (avec bike)and concreting someones patio monday ,oh joy...
we've still got the avocado toilet and sink in our downstairs lav ... pink tiles and toilet seat. Bathrooms are similar 80s colour schemes. Slowly working through this house built in Mid 80s and nothing much has been done in the 30 years since ... today painting the lounge at least stripping wallpaper, patching plaster and now got a leaking radiator value b*99er.
Mine had complete pink suite, with pink tiles to 5 foot high and then woodchip paper painted. Yup. Pink.
In the early 80's we had a brown mini and an avocado bathroom. Nobody wanted a white bathroom, council houses had those. The kids had the Sinclair zx81 Spectrum and a BBC B and we spent hours typing in computer games in Basic and then trying to get them to work. We used to buy games magazines but they often had printing errors so the buggers didn't run when you typed it all in. Then we went upmarket and got an Atari games console and you could buy the expensive cassette programs and spend hours playing pacman and breakout. Good days.
That sounds like our family bathroom, apart from we have never been able to use it as there has been a water leak and the bath has dropped, yet another job to do. Oh and the en suite has a lemon yellow corner bath. You could ask why did you let your wife talk you into buying that house ....
I went down the pub on my Bandit for a lunchtime beer today, 260 mile round trip, nice Apart from the BH traffic which meant a lot of white lining. Not many vans out, only passed 2 early and 1 late bays.
you've been here as well, I knew it had changed hands a few times ... I can't complain too much as we've been here 3 and half years and I am only painting the third room.
