  1. right a bit of a moan.. now im not been on ego knob here. fact i 41 years old now. i have been a mechanic since leaving school. i.e mending cars. so i dont like the wool been pulled over my eyes,...this week got 2 ball joint covers, stripped em. bottom one very dry and slight play when stripped and boot removed. so took off torsion arm. pressed out and fitted new joint. fitted ..try to fit new boot to old top joint.. WTF is that supposed to fit.. is it citreon, ford ,chevrolet, john deer tractor or all of em. jesus christ. a hard bit of rubber with no flex. when fitted the bottom/ small end rides up the joint. im sorry i am sick of buying ill fitting Marmite quality parts. the boot with the new joint is flexibe and is consertinated.... not something i could throw for the dog like the repro cover only. we are paying good money and postage for stuff that really not gonna last . sorry rant over.

  2. where did you get it from?? All the ones I've had have been soft

  3. i not gonna knock em as they only pass on the goods from the manufacture.. but it was one of the big ones... no not JK.. just disappionted as they f..k all like a cover that comes with a ball joint. even a new 1.. probably just me wanting stuff to fit right but we all now some repro stuff just isnt up to it..where did you get yours from..

I dont think youre the only one feeling this way mate - there are threads on here, Early and SSVC with lots of comments of a similar ilk!

I complained about a part from VW Heritage that was very poorly manufactured only to be told from the head honcho "to buy elsewhere if I wasnt happy"!
