Anyone else trying to sell their house at the moment? ;o(

This will be the only time you can trade up to a bigger better house for money that is within reach of us mere mortals. It is harder for them to sell that the lower end of the price brand, mind you enough posh expensive houses have sold when we have been looking, so there is money out there?

 

Stan how is it going now the weather has picked up - we suddenly started having loads of viewings and have just accepted an offer - happy days!

 

with my flat ,i had it valued , put a sign/poster in window facing main road saying " this flat for sale for " price " and a phone No.,when peeps arived to view i told them ,if they really did not want/like it ,that was ok ,no need to be polite/make all the right "noises" ,they just had to say ,and leave, seemed to work ,sold quickly.

 

We accepted an offer on the house we are selling the other day

 

Hi suddenly during the Easter holidays we had about 3 couples per week viewing! But we did lower the price a fraction more. Coincidentally we had an offer we have accepted last Thursday . and fingers crossed it is going through now. I am being very cautious since we got messed about about 2 months ago , so until I start to see serious paperwork and surveys I wont jump for joy just yet, but yes the market appears to have picked up even here in the North West!

Hang in there, you may have to drop the price (only a little is enough) and once in a while change a photo or 2 and you get to the top of the Rightmove list.

One last tip - if they spend ages viewing they are properly dithering and will waste your time. If they come in and out in about 10 mins they know exactly what they want!

Glad to hear it is picking up for you as well - likewise until our buyer gets the survey done I'm going to remain convinced it will fall thru but we have also found an awesome house and are starting to put the wheels in motion for that as well
