  1. Hi all. Just a quick question to see if anyone has been to V-DUB island on the isle of white.

I am trying to find out further info on this and wanted to know if it was any good. Looks ok for £30 wanting to take the kids and the wife and it looks ok.

Any info would be good as have not booked tickets but defo thinking of doing this one this year.

Not sure how long it has been going or how professional it is run but it does look ok on there website.

    http://www.v-dubisland.com/

    Is the site.

Thanks in advance for any info.

  2. We went last year and are really looking forward to this years event. We haven't got kids but it looked like there was plenty to keep them amused. There was no both and perfect safe for families. You can easily drive out for the day or catch the bus to all the local attractions. Showers were £2 a go and spotless. Go for it, you won't be disappointed :)

  3. We have  Great show, great value for money, and has as already been said, great location to go out and explore the rest of the Island whilst having your evening entertainment sorted (and your daytime too if you want too) The drive out is an amazing sight - last year saw two hundred VW's all in one big convoy - AMAZING!!!!! Even if some get lost (no names mentioned Silver ;) ) This year will see it in its third year, and any of the niggles from the previous years have been looked into and sorted, as well as many more things being available this year. It is a very chilled out weekend and our kids always have fun - last year the gigantic sand pit (free) kept them amused for hours and even at the end of the weekend they were still searching for gold nuggets to win a prize! (So were we)

Another thing I would say is the ferry price you can get over for is an absolute bargain - we can't get that good a deal and we are Islanders.

A few from the forum came over last year - if I could work out how to use the search on the new forum I would put the links to last years threads and pics, but I can't lol.

Any questions don't be afraid to ask! We will help if we can, or point you in the right direction!

Don't know if it has already been suggested on this years threads on here but maybe we should try and get a TLB camp pitch - or would everyone sooner camp on their own?

  6. At the bottom of the home page there is a list of sponsors, click on the ferry route you wish to use (wightlink or red funnel) and you can purchase your Dub Island tickets at the same time :)

Not very clear on the site tho - well spotted!

  7. It is indeed - just clicked on the link to see - we have just paid that to go away to the mainland for one night return! Ouch!

  8. Red Funnel - Doesn't work....'Sorry, the promo code you have entered has expired/invalid'

    On Wight Link
Sat to Tues 2 adults 3 kids £140

    ?? Is that cheap??

  9. Red Funnel - will be much cheaper - we just went through the link and it all went through ????

That link from the dub island page takes you directly through to the booking page, is that the one you went through?

  10. When is it?

  11. 15th - 19th August 2013

If tagging on a short break looks OK

  12. Looks like every one has good things to say about this show so far and it is in it's third year.

I clicked the links for the ferry but there are no promo codes up as of yet that I can find in there sight. Just entered the dates and the price difference is big, red funnel was much cheaper at £60 compared to wight link at £140. Why so much I do not have a clue.

Hi there burntout are you associated with the show. Would be good to maybe make a TLB pitch if possible defo sounds like a good idea.

Defo putting this n the calendar. Was chatting to the mrs about this today and she is actually up for it. She has never slept in the bus so this is a first for her.

Have not booked tickets yet but will do after pay day as long as I do not go to nuts with the cash at the volksworld show next weekend.

Cheers for the heads up on this, good reviews about something are always a bonus.

The cruise to the beach might be a good day out with the kids.

  13. Ooooh yay! I have been looking at this for a while but not booked! Not heard anything about it until now so I will have a look at the site :)

  14. davedub Return ferry ticket looks to cost £59.50

Red Funnel is offering a discounted fixed price vehicle ferry return fare of £59.50 for visitors to V-Dub Island. The fare is available for vehicles up to 5.5m in length & 2m in height, travelling on any sailing (subject to availability) for stays of up to 4 nights between 13-22 August 2013. For vehicles over these limits. discounted rates do not apply. Prices are inclusive of passengers.

You shouldn't need any promo code. If you scroll down the page`to the taking your vehicle button it should have that wording so I would hope that it would automatically update in your basket.

  15. It does

  16. Good links guys. Is anyone actually going to this or booked tickets yet?
