Hope you find someone in time as from the 31st of December and the opening up of the eu entry, most of the population will be heading to the uk Maybe someone could drop the bus off on their way past?
Dicky you funny guy! the reason I have been looking abroad for a bus is because there are very few pop top busses in Sweden and Norway,i am looking specifically for a helsinki model because of the layout,its nice in my opinion! I have been looking in the UK and germany too,now this one comes up for sale and its a good price,nice bus i think! Only problem is that i have to drive it 1700km,driving such distance is no problem but a bus that i have never seen and serviced looked after is quite a risk! I used to be a car mechanic and have worked and owned aircooled so im sure i will make it unless something drastic goes wrong! The owner says it was a 1600 before but was converted to 2000 but was just wondering if the gearbox was changed at the same time(still awaiting reply from owner),will the 2000 box fit in a 1600 bus,regarding gearbox mounts etc OR would they have put a 2000 in and left the gearbox? dont think this is possible? or is it? the engine is from 1978. here is a link with pics of the bus: http://www.99poze.ro/T_b_WESTFALIA/

not hard getting the stolen uk 4 x 4 into the country though. Remember that top gear episode Sorry im turning this into some rant Still like to visit the country though
