  2. yeah it needs ALOT of work, surely someone is buying that for a parts van?

if this was going to be worth more if it was restored, like a splitty (oh yeah i went there) it would be more understandable.

How much would be left when finished and with the quality of repo panels would you have enough to be able to fit them

I think you should get it as it would be a good read right up to the point they put you in the funny house

  4. This has got me thinking.
Has anyone/does anyone know of a T2 being built totally from scratch?

Wonder how much it would cost to just buy all the bits and put it together as a kit.

    Sorry, just thinking aloud. :)

  5. Thats what brazzilian busses are lol

  6. It a strange window because its a converted panel van , not an original camper conversion.

  7. Mines a converted panel van and so are many others ive seen
Ive never seen a window like that before though
I kind of like it because of its weirdness

  8. In some ways i would rather spend 6K cash on some thing in that state than buy a 6K bus only to find its been plastered 6 months later when the filler falls out and it costs another 2 grand + to sort the hidden rot. but then I prefer welding to the fiddly stuff!

There has to be a typo in those numbers. Assume first should have read £600?
Point taken, but there is so much difference between a £500 bus and a £1000 bus. At this level I reckon every £1 spent saves a fiver.
Again a £2k bus even better. A £2k bus should be more than 2x as good as a £1k bus IMHO. Get to £3K and buy a nice knocked about import.

  10. yeah its an interesting one innit..

  11. You and me have the hindsight perspective dude:thumbsup: zed

Thinking about it if someone was willing to pay a very large deposit upfront then i could turn that bus into a show winning trophy trap
Id want at least eight grand upfront though and couldent commit to it being finished for at least two years as id have to take other work on the side to earn a living
Even after that i would earn more money working the night shift at the local supermarket

  12. yeah, thats true, but it is do-able if your willing to persevere through the inevitable multiple times the job breaks you! haha

  13. I had seen that :D

next time I'm going for some thing older and rustier :D

  14. Easy restoration.

Just jack up the ashtray and slip a new bus in.

Then all you have to do is replace the ashtray.

  15. Ah! Someone loves it, there are 11 bids on it. No good to me though it has no headlights. I notice there is another important part missing. A sign saying SCRAP.
