http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321089967473?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 needs a LOT of work, but i know if i had the cash i would definately buy it, so thought some of you may also be interested....
I wouldent touch it with rickyroos winky If someone asked me to restore it for them i wouldent take there money id tell them to buy a better bus to begin with Saying that ive seen some in a simmaler state restored before
I'm sure someone dodgy will buy it just for the log book. If this free tax is rolling its not long to wait.
so im the only one who wants to put it back on the road then?? i might see if i can juggle things and save it...
Maybe someone could cut the front panel off this one, oh hang on, too late http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-vw-t...8495005?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cd00c269d
Anythings saveable but you have to ask yourself at what cost and im not just on about money If money was no object and you had your own fully kitted workshop and your time was your own with no prior commitments Theres still the best part of a years work to drag that back to life
yeah, i know its ridiculous, but i have a space to put it that i dont have to pay rent for... and as i have my current bus there would be no rush to get it done.. and it would make quite a resto thread if i pulled it off dont you think?
but it's nothing special - nor rare, the time and money involved to make it good would be more than buying a decent one - fact.
yeah, i see your point, but i dont care about special or rare, its a bay. and i love bays regardless of spec or rarity. and agreed about the overall cost, but spending it over several years is a bit different to shelling out all of it in one go to buy a decent one, and just buying something doesnt cut it for me, i love the challenge, and building something exactly as i wanted. and is that not THE blankest possible canvas?? haha
