Just been out to start her. She started sweet as a nut,but noticed a pool of water beneath the radiator. I will have to investigate later.

I had a look at the mot history online..... Did the seller have big tits again? It seems to have a bit of rust worm...... Make sure you don't get trapped under this one in the nuddy "spying on the neighbours" err I mean "welding"

I looked online too. After going around with the screwdriver it looks good. It has had the seat belt anchorage welded and the inner tub passenger side. So I think it was sorted for the next one. That was 3 mots ago if memory serves.

It still does need welding btw,but not where the mot said,as I went to those places right away. The sills have two holes and the os B post has a patch. I don't think I will be the welder on this one tbh.

I will post a few pics up later.

  7. It is good to wire a seperate switch for the fan ,if you are in a traffic jam and the automatic sensor decides it's not hot enough yet...;)

A lot of gauges are happy to stay at 3/4 but i like mine under half way or less...

re leak ,put an egg innit...:D

  8. Looking good Malc - think you got a bargain there. Don't feel bad about the previous owner, there's a lot worse that could have gone wrong with one of these so he'd have sold up sooner or later anyway. You're doing him a favour. ;)

If you want to test run it, bring it over here for a good run out, I need someone to help me try out my new garden bar. :)

This one did 100+ miles in hot weather yesterday and never went above a quarter. Mind you, there is a world of difference between your hot weather and ours.

I miss our old t25 we bought it off a clown
I found it easy to bleed it by getting it warm and stoping on a slope with the front up

exactly.... air will find its way to the rad easier if you jack the front end up i reckon.

Defo has a thermostat Mick. The cooling system does get slightly hotter well up to half if you leave it running, but soon comes back to a quarter if you get going again. The heating system works too. Hot and cold.

Now you have lost me. I thought you meant the expansion tank caps, but not sure if you mean the radiator bleed.

It does have a few bits of welding to do Mark. Two patches on the outer sills. A small hole on the inner passenger sill. A piece about one inch at the bottom of the B post. A piece on the corner of the slider, two small holes in the driver's step and a piece on the driver's door bottom inside corner. Other than that it is solid and just needs a tidy up. The paintwork is okay, but it may go in and have a desperate at some point. I would like the roof white and have the body back to the og blue with the decals back on. Time and money will depict how much is done in reality.
