Alternator pulley nut

  1. Thanks for replies. I think my bus had a dynamo to start with ('71) so if it did I already have a repro alternator.

    I won't be changing it but with engine in I understand you need to remove carb and inlet manifolds?

  2. Essentially, yes. Folk seem to manage it, but it's a pain.

    See if it has Bosch written on it. If yes it'll be worth getting it repaired. Once it's out you may be able to get the screws out.
     
  4. New alternator, pulley, belt and intake boots now fitted :)
