  4. I'd be happy to sign a disclaimer absolving para of anything that was out of his control.
I'm going to speak to my boys to see if they're interested in this.
Dont think its expensive, £150 for the whole weekend (plus a £50 contrib for the wood) is probably below the minimum wage after expenses.

  6. I doubt our insurance would cover this as it's not a TLB event. Unless we organised a group event with paradox??;)

The Spring camp couldn't use it as the organisers specifically decided that it was no longer a TLB event.

But Pete had already agreed we could use it and he knew it wasn't an official TLB Meet - months in advance with several people!

Can you leave the door open again so we can hear what you're saying so we can all go "tut" again.

  11. Err is there a thread somewhere that i can read about events/get togethers and what makes them a TLB event etc?

The only reason i ask is that i have a field in an idylic situation that i MAY sometime in the future think about opening up for people on here if its straight forward and not a political minefield

  12. I think what generally makes it a TLB event is all the attendees and the forum agreeing that it's an organised TLB one :) We love idyllic fields....start a new thread and tell us more Keith.H

  13. It's not a political minefield (in general) it's a H & S one. That's the trouble living in a litigous society today and it only takes one accident or awkward bas**rd to set it off.
Some of mrs L & S' s friends are in Dunstable dubbers and they do a similar thing in a field/s and have permission from the farmer. I'll ask her how they actually get around this.

  14. Thanks, i wouldnt be interested if i have to deal with all that, one of its best points is that the river windrush runs down one side of the field, but sadly that is prob a bad point from an H&S viewpoint.
I was hoping for an informal type of thing, no money charged etc, the only cost i could see from my point would be getting the field cut beforehand.
    Sorry for the thread hijack
