Bolt 'em on and you'll have to learn. I don't know much about it TBH, but above is what I've found doing mine and a few others. Just changing the emulsions if they're F78 will turn it from undriveable to pleasant, the rest is tweeking, but you don't want to hack along with too small main jets or it'll run lean and overheat.
Just been having a look at what jets they've got so I can order what I need. How do I get the emulsion tubes out to see the size? The diagram on the eurocarb website shows that it's under the air corrector but with that removed I still can't see how the tube comes out?
I agree with Zed, I had 145 mains and 55 idles and not sure about emulsions! Most would say take to a rolling road to set up, it like me you had no cash then it was a lot of fun to play with to get driving the best.
A bit of enthusiastic shaking and the tubes are out. 78's. Just ordered some f6 and a selection of jets
You can fish them out with just about anything. Glad you found the 78's now you know why the last poor person gave up on them. Speak to eurocarb and they'll assure you 78's are fine. Not worth arguing with a brick wall.
@Beaver It is really important to run a balance pipe between the manifolds makes a massive difference!
Can I thread jack please, I'm running 34's currently on a 009, after my recent thread probably gonna get a vac advance dizzy. Will the current jets be ok or will it need to be re-jetted and dyno'd ? Cheers
I love the sound the sport muffler makes. Also some one will correct me if this is wrong but, you might want to put a kind of "n" shape in you vac pipe to prevent fuel getting into the vac canister of your dizzy. It can rot the diaphragm and perish it.
Sorry to pee on your party, but Alex is right about the balance pipe. Now's the time or you'll end up doing all this again.
No need to be sorry, I'd rather get it right. What kind of pipe is it and where do i put it? Thanks everyone for helping This is all very new to me
What tap is needed for the thread on the fuel pipe unions? My CB manifolds were pre tapped but his empi ones will need drilling as said before.
Kilmo posted pic of barb fitted to manifold earlier in the thread. You need one on each joined with a pipe. They have tapered thread which will depend on which fittings you buy , for which you need a tapered tap. Don't go tooooo deep with the tap - tap it a bit then try the fitting until you're happy you have enough thread screwing in. Won't they have this stuff (a tap at least) at work?
fuel hose barbs are usually 7 or 8mm OD....1/8th inch NPT (11/32nds Drill bit) are often used for servo take off, which uses 1/2 inch (12.7mm) hose
